Well, the Liberal National government’s eighth Budget has now been handed down, and I’m sorry to say it is yet another marketing exercise. 

After eight long years of this government our community deserves more than a shameless political fix. We deserve the genuine reform needed to make Australia’s economy stronger, broader, and more sustainable.

It's Budget night.

Tonight, I'll be in the parliament listening closely as the Treasurer gives his Budget speech. But it's not announcements that matter  it's delivery.

Over the course of eight years of federal Budgets, the Liberal National government has shown a tendency to over-promise and under-deliver. So Labor will be pressing the government to make good on their promises to Australians.

Bulimba Barracks Development Application

Many locals attended the recent Bulimba Barracks Open Day. Following the Open Day, a Development Application for the Barracks site has now been lodged with Council. The application has been ‘properly made’ under the Planning Act 2016 on 26 March 2021.

Petition to ask Brisbane City Council to give Balmoral State High School back their land

Almost 1000 local residents signed Di Farmer MP’s petition last year asking Brisbane City Council to give back the Balmoral State High School (BSHS) playing field that the Campbell Newman Government had gifted to them in trusteeship.  BSHS is a rapidly growing school, and the land is much needed.
