Morrison government sits on hands despite locals' concerns about asbestos at hall

18 March 2018

The old Red Cross Hall at Greenslopes has been sitting empty, falling into disrepair.

The presence of asbestos at the site is obvious to everyone.

The Commonwealth owns the site.

The Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison government needs to fix it up urgently, to prevent any further risk from the asbestos and any other contaminants. If they can't or won’t do it, they need to find someone who will.

The site has now sat empty, falling into disrepair, for years.

The Morrison government must take our community’s concerns into account.

I have raised this issue repeatedly with the Minister. When will locals see some action?
