Terri Butler MP is pleased to be hosting a foreign aid forum with Senator the Hon Penny Wong, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, tomorrow.

“Mr Turnbull and the Liberals have cut over $11 billion from Australia’s international assistance budget,” Terri Butler said.

“In this year’s Budget alone, there is a further $140 million cut over the next three years.

“The contempt that this government has for foreign aid is shameful.

“A Shorten Labor Government will rebuild Australia’s international development assistance program.

“I am looking forward to hosting Senator Wong and the many Southsiders who are passionate about foreign aid to discuss this important issue,” she said.

The forum will take place at 10am on Wednesday, 25 July at the Holland Park Bowls Club.
