Here comes my annual post about the books I’ve read throughout the year. 2022’s list is a bit different. I lost an election in May, got covid in June & had a lot of time at home this year, so I had much more time to read comics than in previous years. So I’m starting this year’s list with comics and going from there.
We need more women in politics, not less.

Under the Morrison-Joyce government it has been heartbreaking witnessing the commentary from the Prime Minister and his Ministry about women, and their responses when women have stood up for better.
Green open space is precious.

Yesterday I made an exciting announcement to protect green, open space on the Kurilpa peninsula.
An Albanese Labor Government will fund the work needed to lock in the long-term sustainability of Davies Park as an accessible community space.

As a member of Anthony Albanese's shadow cabinet, I will have the privilege of being a Minister if Labor is elected.
But representing our local area will always be my top priority.
Support for Veterans in Griffith

Parliament has resumed this week, and all eyes are on the Morrison-Joyce Government to see what they will do in relation to climate change.
The August/September sittings - federal update
We have had four federal parliamentary sitting weeks since August 1, and it has never been more crucial to apply scrutiny to the Morrison-Joyce Government.
The pandemic response continues to dominate federal politics, and in recent weeks we have also dealt with a number of other serious issues.
