Greg has continued this club volunteering his time for over 11 years, after he took it over from a Bulimba librarian. The Club discusses a diverse range of books and genres and Greg has always encouraged readers to read and support Brisbane authors. Greg skilfully chairs the meetings and he also ensures that he has a diverse club – in culture, age and work experience. Greg has initiated the monthly collection of a gold coin donation to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation run by local bookstore Riverbend Books. Greg also ensured the Book club kept going during Covid by organising Zoom sessions.

During the pandemic it’s been so important to not only keep reading but to support our independent book shops – thank you for your hard work Greg.
