"Melissa Townsend is the president of the Greenslopes State School P&C Association. Not only does she work tirelessly (around her full-time work and 3 kids), but she brings a sense of fun to everything she does. This, in turn, attracts happy and engaged volunteers, which leads to a wonderful sense of community and a large team that gets stuff done. Some of the P&C achievements this year include a huge working bee, the ground markings project, new seating at our tuckshop area, funding of a new library software system, success in a grant to resurface our tennis court, a huge slime run (that has raised $20,000!) plus all of the usual small things.”
